Simple rooms, secluded, breakfast simple but good

Always recommended. Very good kitchen. Experience in star kitchens. Listed among the best German country inns. A lot of parking space is sufficient. Regional products.. All round always good..👍☘🐞

Nice location and very friendly hospitality, very good food.

Here I rate the room with breakfast! Very simple room but good mattress. Very bad price-performance ratio, far too expensive! Small, loveless breakfast. Very disappointed for us, because the restaurant is supposedly known for good cuisine and advertises home-baked bread, we didn't notice anything about it at breakfast. The overall impression of the inn, hotel and the entire courtyard is also not harmonious. Staff seems indifferent. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend an overnight stay with breakfast here!

Very pleasant accommodation with friendly staff

Vile place. The rooms are frosty. I booked a room for a month for the first week of January upon arrival at six in the evening, it turned out that there were no prepared rooms. I had to wait. In the toilet, the water from the faucet flows slightly wash inconveniently. Probably they’re very dirty here. I do not advise you this hotel.

From regional classics to creative, high-quality dishes that are sometimes bold, everyone can find something. Great location without looking for a parking space. An institution in the region for decades and did not stop there.

Lovingly and appropriately furnished restaurant and room, very friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast was sufficiently stocked and the beds comfortable, although the inn is located directly on the street, the rooms are pleasantly quiet.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. I find the shortened menu the right decision. Parking spaces are available.

Tastes (the food) are known to be different, mine was not hit - not at all. What is interesting about the restaurant is the imaginative menu. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Very professional.

We used only restaurant, but it was very delicious. I was reluctant to ask, but the seasonal white asparagus that others had asked for was exquisite.

I had a single room for one night. The room was big but all very old and a tiny, uncomfortable bed. There is no air conditioning. The shower head was completely dirty. The breakfast was very small on the selection but adequate. A plus for the fly screens on the windows. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious (except for the homemade lemonade) but expensive.

Great selection, very good food and decent portions. Quick service, and good location. Very interesting foreign dishes, but also typical local cuisine. There's a big dessert selection, too!

I spent one night there in april 2019 and noticed that there is still room for improvement regarding the rooms. All in all it is clean and should meet simple requirements. The breakfast is just like the rooms rather easy to look at. The operators (mother as well as daughter) are very hard-working / nice / helpful. The bed was a disaster for me, I felt like I was in a hammock. So as I said simply without a lot of frippery, no free WIFI. The house kitchen should be very good, unfortunately I did not try.

It was my first time to Steinheim, or i can say my first time out of India. I landed at Stuttgurt and took a speed train to reach Heidenheim and just a few kilometers away was this beautiful place in Steinheim. It was a Saturday and as usual the hotel was on leave and without much expectations i checked in. My first view from the room was beautiful, green, calm. Rooms were well kept, clean and cosy. i was finding it difficult to stay alone missing my home and its when i met Mrs. Posche i felt i had somebody to share my thoughts. She was the best host i had ever met and always had a smile on her face and lots to share about the culture and cuisine. Every part of the hotel and restaurent was carefully made with hand picked painting and yes there is a story behind each one. Every table is decorated with wild and exotic flowers. Since i was new to German food she made sure i felt comfortable and to my suprise for my first dinner she served my dahi, Indian pickle and papad with rice and fish curry. Since i am a foody and love trying new cuisines I also tried different German food and trust me i loved every bit of it. Who can think of making a dessert out of blossoms, Yes i tried this unique dessert and must say it was amazing. The place by itself is located in beautiful greens and a walk can take you to hills behind with a great view or country side. I stayed for 2 weeks and yes it was a great place to stay, with a good host. India is always know for friendly people which good hospitality around. But finding such people outside india was cherishable and i couldnot stop myself from writing down a few words for this place as its truely 'a home away from home'.
